Pictured Rocks Named One of Michigan’s Most Beautiful Places

In a recent article, MLive.com named the most beautiful places in each of Michigan’s 83 counties, a list that includes many well-known Michigan landmarks and destinations.

The most beautiful place named in Alger County was, unsurprisingly, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!

MLive suggested the best way to get a glimpse of Pictured Rocks is on a kayak, stating:

“Let’s be honest, every part of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is gorgeous. It is hard to pick just one spot to feature here, but we will go with Miners Castle. It is a beloved and well-known spot along the shores of Lake Superior. We suggest you get a glimpse of it from on the water as you paddle up close in your kayak.”

We have to say, this summary is pretty spot-on!

Not only is Pictured Rocks one of the area’s best attractions, it’s one of the premier parks in the nation to experience firsthand. And, you can experience it while paddling right on the waters of Michigan’s Greatest Great Lake.

You can plan your Pictured Rocks paddle adventure here.
