Our Hiawatha vacation packages are a great way to enjoy modern camping in comfort and style along the shores of Lake Superior. The campground features numerous amenities including platform tents with wooden floors as well as a refrigerator, electrical outlets and Wi-Fi. They’re furnished with bunk beds, futons and tables and chairs. Each one also comes with an outdoor grill and fire pit for those nighttime campfire singalongs and weenie roasts. Our restrooms are clean and feature all the conveniences of home. All you need to bring is bedding and some cooking equipment if needed.
One of the highlights of our Hiawatha vacation packages is kayaking along the shoreline at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This spot is well known as one of the most beautiful kayaking locations in the country, with breathtaking views of the shore as well as sights such as Bridal Veil Falls, Kissing Rock, Lovers Leap Arch, sea caves, stained rock walls and more. The trip includes lunch on a remote beach and it suitable for kayakers of all skill levels over the age of 8.
All kayaking gear is included, with guests taking tandem double kayaks out onto the water. Check-in for the trip begins at 8:30 AM at E10846 County Road H58 in Munising, MI, 49862, and the tour typically ends around 3 PM.
Another favorite of guests is the Grand Island Sunset Dinner Cruise. This is a 27-mile boat cruise around Grand Island, the third-largest island on Lake Superior. The island has a beautiful shoreline featuring beaches, lighthouses, sea arches, sea caves and a history of Native American culture dating back thousands of years. During the trip, you’ll stop at the Duck Pond Eatery and Beer Garden for a free entrée from a menu featuring a wide selection of burgers, BBQ pulled pork, whitefish, sandwiches and salads. Alcoholic beverages are not included in this package.
If the dates you have chosen are unavailable or if you have more than 5 persons, please call us at 906-387-1695 and we often can build a custom package for you.
**Late Season Bookings After Labor Day Weekend, The Grand Island Cruise will be a lunch cruise on the day you check-out 11:00Am-2:30Pm. (There are no evening dinner cruises offered that time of the year).
