All you need is a sleeping bag. Whether you choose to stay in a yurt, a Native American tipi, a safari tent, or a sleeping cabin, our lodging choices are designed for outdoor enthusiasts on the go. If you’re kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, or just enjoying the outdoors, we’ve got the perfect place to lay your tired head.

Every unit in our Pictured Rocks camping sites comes complete with a mattress, a small table and lights inside. Just bring your own sleeping bag, personal items, cookware, and an appetite for adventure.

Sleeping Bags, Pillows, Towels, and Toiletries are available for Rent or Purchase at each campground and must be reserved ahead of time.  Please call our reservations office at 906-387-1695 to reserve your Pictured Rocks glamping site.

Paddler's Village Resort

Paddler’s Village is what we consider a Modern Campground or Paddlers Resort – not an RV Park. Our Pictured Rocks campsites are set up for the outdoorsman on the go. All units in our campgrounds near Pictured Rocks have electricity, beds with mattresses, a small refrigerator and a table. You are responsible to bring your sleeping bag, any personal items you require and cookware. Firewood and charcoal available at our store.

The whole family can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, camping, canoeing, bird-watching, hiking, biking, or just relaxing. The Au Train River is one of the safest and most scenic and enjoyable streams in the state for canoes and kayaks. The days are warm and nights are cool. The Grand Yurt

Located at the Au Train Beach Campground, the Grand Yurt is a great option for large families, groups, or even couples desiring more space for their Pictured Rocks Michigan camping adventure. A larger and more spacious 20’ Pacific Yurt with all the trappings for a glamping experience to remember. The Grand Yurts are the only yurts at Au train Beach Campground with electricity and a mini fridge! The Grand Yurt is the perfect option for your Pictured Rocks glamping experience!

At Paddler's Inn

The Deluxe Paddlers Inn Yurts are in the forest behind the Paddlers Inn Motel. The only yurts for camping near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore plumbed with private Bathrooms inside! The Newly Renovated Paddlers Inn Motel is a quaint quiet Motel just down the road from the Duck Pond eatery and Beer Garden in Christmas, MI.

Come enjoy the most luxurious glamping experience Michigan has to offer. Pictured Rocks Yurts are centrally located in Munising, MI overlooking Munising Bay. Sit on the huge decks with your solo stove roaring watching boats and sea life traversing the bay. All the yurts at our Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore lodging are fully plumbed with private bathrooms, kitchenets and king or queen size beds.

What is the booking process?

We make it very easy to book your stay at our campgrounds near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Simply use our online contact form or call.

How far in advance should I book, especially in the peak season?

You can book your stay with us well into the next calendar year. Our all-inclusive vacation packages require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to your stay.

What is your cancellation policy?

There is a standard $25 cancellation fee for any cancellations to your reservation. For all-inclusive vacation packages, cancellations made more than 60 days before check-in will receive a 100% return on the deposit, minus the $25 fee. Cancellations made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in receive a 50% refund on the deposit. If the cancellation is made six to 30 days before check-in, the refund is 20%, or no refund if the remaining balance is still unpaid. Any cancellations made six or fewer days before check-in receive no refund.

For packages including standard lodging, the $25 cancellation fee still applies. All reservations have until 14 days before your arrival date to cancel without additional penalties. If cancelled within 14 days of the arrival date, you will be charged the standard cancellation fee plus the cost of one full night’s stay. Any reservation cancelled within 72 hours of check-in is not eligible for a refund. There is no refund provided for early check-outs.

What are your check-in and check-out times?

Check-ins are after 3 p.m., with check-out time being 11 a.m.

Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Our campgrounds and campsites have either two-night or three-night minimum stays. Be sure to ask when booking your stay.
