Wednesday Evening Paddle
Learn to Sea Kayak and Make New Friends

When:  Every Wednesday evening from June 3 to August 26, 2009

Where: Meet at paddling shop at 6pm - 321 S. Lakeshore Dr. Marquette

Location: Lower Harbor or Presque Isle

Cost:    $20.00   includes kayak and equipment rental
                             kayakers with own sea kayak and equipment – no charge

Leaders:  ACA certified Coastal Kayak Instructors from Paddling Michigan

Length:  3 hours

This is an excellent way to try out sea kayaking before you spend your hard earned dollars on a boat and equipment or invest your time in a sport you are unfamiliar with. This is not a training session. No experience is necessary. Sea kayak training sessions are available on Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Locations will be alternated and may be adjusted due to wind conditions.

Paddle around the Lower Harbor Ore Dock, Ripley’s Rock, Elwood Mattson Park, Coast Guard Station, and Lower Harbor break wall. At Presque Isle we’ll paddle around the island plus out to Partridge Island, Gull Island and around the cove area.
