Greenwood Reservoir Marquette
This beautiful body of water is actually an impoundment on the Escanaba River that results in a lake with many islands and small coves. The water is very calm in here and wildlife abounds.
You'll think you are in Northern Canada here.
Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, Beaver, Otter, Bear, Deer and Moose are found in this area. Of course, fishing is also very good here.
This is an excellent spot for a paddling trip if you are into seclusion, wildlife, and also if it is too windy for Lake Superior.
Greenwood is located southwest of Ishpeming, Michigan and is about a 30 minute drive from Marquette.
A minimum of 4 paddlers are required for the guided tour here.
